Part 1

In words read, so much is found,

great pleasure have I, in indulgence of books,

the library, full of life,

I am satisfied,

yet I’ll continue to hunger,

nothing compares to this,

I refuse, even the greatest pleasures, fall short,

in knowledge, life & death dwell,

of life, I seek,

death your sting, spare thee,

ooh wisdom, accept my seeking,

here I come, running,

in your arms, I seek refuge,

you are kind to those who love you,

you teach with open arms,

yes, bruises follow,

but teachings remain,

this shall remain, even with the passing away,

let your love consume me,

your presence, my home,

dwell I shall dwell,

life indeed.

Part 2

Who shall tell them,

of a hope in you,

restoration of sight,

sounds of joy,

calmness that disturbs,

they stoned the messenger,

they killed the bearer of light,

they choose their caves,

as it was said of them,

what joy does it bring,

to dance in the darkness,

to sing in the night,

see the light,

even for a little while,

if it fills not your eyes,

then return.
